Wherever you are going, that is where you are.  In order to climb to the next level, you must first identify the character flaw that kept you from going to the next level.  For some people it is a critical spirit.  For others it is slothfulness - not fully applying their God given talents, skills and experience to a situation or project at hand.  Yet, for others it is a continual tendency to give excuses for their failures or stagnancy in life.  

"Do you want to get healed?" Jesus asked the sick man who had lain by  the healing river for 38 years.  Instead of answering the question, this lame guy immediately started giving excuses.  He complained about how other people jumped into the water before he had a chance to take advantage of the healing effects of the water.  He complained about people not lifting him up to get into the water.  Yet, the question was "Do you want to get healed?" Do you want to get to the next level in your quest for success and happiness?  The answer has to be an emphatic YES.  No equivocation.  No vacillation.  No excuses.  Wherever you want to go, that is where you are. In God.  In Jesus Christ.

Let's look at it another way.  True happiness is not dependent on things, on accumulation of material wealth, though there is nothing wrong with being rich.  However, true success and happiness come from a deep communion with God.  And you can achieve that today.   That much I learned.
