Jacksonville, Florida on any given day

An idea of change. I have been reading Nemeth's
book, the Energy of Money. Though the title suggests the mechanics
of getting rich, in my view this book is really about achieving, about
fulfillment. I would recommend the book to anyone, any
day.
Nemeth suggests that in order to achieve your
dreams, you must embark on a Hero's journey, sort of rescuing yourself
from failure, from the limitations which consciously or unconsciously you have
imposed on yourself. She refers to this web of self-imposed
mind limitations as the Monkey's Mind. You must then get rid of the
Monkey's mind, and acquire a new set of values, a new set of perspectives
that liberates your innermost desires and gives wings to your dreams.
Oddly enough, she strongly suggests that to achieve, to
acquire wealth, to make your goals come true, you must embrace an
"unsophisticated" view of life. I would say "uncomplicated." Make it simple. Make it plain. She insists you
must have the "Beginner's Mind." This I agree with. To
succeed in life, to succeed in any endeavor, you must first reduce the process
to its basics. You must go back and see the world through a
babe's eyes. See the world through a child's eyes, and feel the
wondrousness of life again. Smell the flowers; enjoy the vibrancy of trees
in sunlight; and let the bright colors excite you. In other words,
explore the vast opportunities, financial and otherwise, that lie before
you. Be born again. Get rid of the
"I can't" spirit and replace it with a "Can
do" mentality.
From the time we wake up till day's end, we are
continually flooded with information and demands, troubles and pressures,
that tend to cloud our judgment and vision. We get lost in the
maze. We must find our way. To kill the demons that threaten our
dreams, we must once again embrace simplicity. A simple sling took
care of Goliath. With simple love, Jesus conquered the world. That much I
learned.
