I have had the privilege of crossing the Atlantic, on a plane, a few times.  I never fail to be awed by the grandiosity of God, and the relative insignificance of man.  In the scheme of things, our personal squabbles and worries are not that important. Flying over big towns and cities, and looking down,  most houses look like match boxes and automobiles like ants, and the daily troubles associated with them immaterial.

Empires come and go.  Nations rise and fall. And great leaders fall from grace, some into oblivion. What remains constant is the endless stream of humanity and God's supremacy and control over all.  No one is really that powerful, because in the end we must all submit to natural law. All we have is a pretense to power, only for a while.

In view of this, to be successful; to lead a meaningful life, to be truly happy, we must first find out what God, whichever Supreme Being you worship, wants us to do. Communicate, commune, consult, fellowship with Him. Row your boat down the stream He has established.  Do not go against the current, if you want to succeed. Your consultation with your God has to be frequent and consistent.  This is the truest path to success.  That much I learned
